BIOGRAPHY:
Hubert Jonischkeit was born in Argental, Kreis Elchniederung in Easternprussia on March 20th, 1910. He entered military service in 1927 as Soldat with the Infanterie-Regiment 1 at Königsberg.
During the Second Wolrd War, Jonischkeit served in Poland, France and the Soviet Union. From May 8th, 1945 he was interred in Soviet imprisonment. He stayed in POW camp Lager 7270-3 Borowitschi until 1951.
Until his death on September 18th, 1994, Hubert Jonischkeit lived in Kassel in Hesse.
