BIOGRAPHY:
When the Second World War started, Ralf Graf von Oriola commanded the Artillerie-Regiment 252. With this regiment he took part in the invasion of the Soviet Union. At the end of 1941 he took over command of Artillerie-Regiment 18 with the rank of Oberst and was promoted to Generalleutnant on 1st November 1943. In December 1943 he assumed command over 299.Infanterie-Division. His last position before the end of the Second World War was that of Kommandeur XIII.Armeekorps.

3rd May 1943 - 15th January 1944: Kommandeur 299.Infanterie-Division;
13th March 1944 - 28th June 1944: Kommandeur 299.Infanterie-Division;
12th February 1945 - March 1945: Stab XIII.Armeekorps;
31st March 1945 - 17th May 1948: Prisoner of War with British camps Trent Park Camp 11, Camp 300, Island Farm Special Camp 11 and Camp 186.
